Rule Additions for Season 4

If you can't get the ISO of your region to work, you probably have some kind of brain damage that drastically lowers your IQ, and then you shouldn't be playing videogames anyways but seeking medical attention, so I approve of this rule.

In case none of those ISOs Bounty posted work for you, then the problem is between the chair and the controller. LOL

An iso sends you information from that region, it's why using a foreign iso allows you to do regional races there. Since it's sending that information a greater distance there's going to be a timing delay. It's basically what happens in what's called a Tau gap (for those that understand electrical engineering or logic circuits). The idea behind it is that you're sending information across a gate, and an iso creates another gate which causes a timed gate delay. This means that there is an amount of time that it takes for that information to travel. If you have an iso from your region it's going to be as fast as possible since the distance is very small. To be fair a lot of the time is based off of a persons connection but an iso can cause a heck of a lot of lag.

To start: I really don't like people using foreign ISO's. But:
From my experience so far, it's not like ISO's from foreign regions cause lag, it's just like: Using a ISO in general creates extra-lag. It won't be like every guy who is now using another region ISO't won't be laggy to others.
So, I just don't see the point in that rule...

Damn, people can't be happy with what they got out of this. The council could've easily said "All iso's are banned, get a new wii" and fucked everyone over that liked using miis where they don't live, along with the people who have a legit busted up wii and have to use an iso. At least with this rule iso users have a chance to sort everything out and still play.

In short: Stop whining.

yes you do. you connect to the servers that belong to the iso you are using. if you use japanese servers from america you are going to increase your latency by about 200-300ms. if you use australian servers from europe you will get about a full second of latency on top of what you usually have. you can still use your iso from your home region, so idk why people are complaining about their discs not working.

Elegance

Finally an iso rule. I've always hated players playing with their little jap and Korean isos lagging out of my reds, lagging up spots, and thinking they're so good when they score higher because of it.

Don't say you don't lag 'atch' and others, because the simple fact is you do lag more than if you would use your iso for your region.

Uhm Bounty.
What if you d/c in lap1 but you are about to do top4 in lap3 and your opponent just d/c's twice on purpose. So the race wouldn't count even though the disadvantaged team would have won. I'd suggest to change the rule to: If 4 or more people d/c and there are from two d/c's on each team, the race does not count

Lolwat @ ISO rule. I don't see the problems, I never lagged more with.

Anyways, Im gonna change FCs to play with my european ISO then. Hope you won't put me in conditionnals because I change FCs.
