Thank you for taking a step in the right direction knowing you would receive flame and complaints from people that can't adapt to different strategies cause they are butt hurt. Please don't pull a WCL and change the rules because you are pressured by these individuals.

Alright, you guys should just stop complaining. First off, trolling isn't even used in 95% of matches, so threatening to leave the league over that is just ridiculous. Eirik and the rest of the staff has already done the community enough of a favor for giving you all a new league to play in, so screwing up the league seedings by leaving over 1 simple rule just speaks of your character. Trolling probably won't even be used as a tactic anyway, and if it actually is just suck it up and get over it for 1 match.

Go ahead and call the league shit but just going to tell you there's nothing we can do to please everyone.

Good lord some people! Honestly, do you people think that every single match will consist of trolling if people hate it so much? Generally, only like one person in every five clans (probably an overestimate, more like one in ten to fifteen clans) MIGHT (MIGHT, probably won't) troll. I don't understand why people have to assume that every single match will consist of trolling, if most people don't like it. The point of keeping it is to keep it a strategy. Also, I don't see why trolling is that big of a deal. This game is so luck based, the chances of you being commonly affected by trolling is litte. Now, can you pansies stop threatening with leaving so you can get what you want?

Personally, I feel that trolling is a legitimate strategy. It's just one thing both teams have to learn to cope with. Many people just overreact to certain incidences and others need to flat out stop QQ'ing.

If you and/or your clan wishes to leave, please do so sooner than later. Would really appreciate that and would save both parties time. Many thanks.

Well I think everyone has the right to voice their opinion on the subject (after all, that's what the thread is for) and if a team wishes to play or not play due to something that don't like, then that their privilege which they are entitled to I suppose. But like Eirik said, if you're gonna do it, make the decision asap.
I personally am not in favor of trolling, but that's my opinion. Glad to see that it's optional now though.

But just for clarification's sake:

- Having a player of one team be at least a lap behind

Is this now meaning that a player is not allowed to be 1 lap behind anyone for any reason (despite whether or not he or she actually hits someone)? Probably not, but just wanna raise that point now before someone else does in the heat of an argument.

That is true, but there is a difference between voicing your opinion and just complaining. There is also a difference between leaving the league because they don't want to abide by rules and threatening to leave if they don't get their way

Funny thing : we enjoy playing friendly wars every single day without trolling, so why put it there ?

In my opinion, trolling is more of cheating if you think about it. Think of being in a foot race between another person. Your opponent's friend wants to help him, so his friend sets up a pitfall trap at the end of the finish line when you are 5 seconds ahead of your opponent. Not exactly fair if you think about it.

Although people will complain about trolling, it being optional is a great idea to avoid any hatred to this new league. I could kind of foresee that people will not come to an agreement before wars on the matters of trolling, which will just be more of a hassle to deal with.

Personally, I would get rid of this whole trolling idea entirely. But having it optional is something to be thankful for. Can't wait to play in this league! o:

Well well well what an interesting topic we have here. I been reading all the comments people have said and I am not sure what to expect out of this year. In yugioh theres a ban list making so that each format is different. This is just like it right now changing the format allowing people to blatently troll and I am sure that some teams will take advantage of it. It is what it is lets see all the bitching and complaining threw this new format but I hope that it will still be fun. GL to all teams and hope you guys also enjoy this years IL league.

If someone wants to leave, there isn't much anyone can do about that anyways. It's completely up to them whether we like it or not...

Thanks for taking this positively. If this season just happens to not work and people still care to continue playing we may or may not adjust rules accordingly. I wish everyone to at least try to have the most fun this season. :]

Why not just make a poll.

1. Keep the old WCL rule on the hosting team decides.

2. Go with trolling being allowed/ the New Rules.

And the one that the IL teams prefer most should be it. / whichever gets the most votes.
